If it ain't grey it's Satan

I love Islam. I mean I really do.

But what is up with this Catholization of modern Islam? (no offense to the Catholics but they are kinda limited in terms of pleasure of the flesh) Why are we scared of the devil? I mean in the Koran he's a pest. A whisperer. He's a gnat. Nowadays, he's blown up to near "The Exorcist" style size.

And what about the drabness? In Islam, "God is beautiful and he loves beauty" so why not a little more? What's up with the chromatic clothing choices. It'd either all white or all black (with some red to signify the blood of our forefathers or some crap like that).

What about the ongoing (underground) attempt to outlaw music? What the hell is that all about? Music is beautiful hence the, "God is beautiful and he loves beauty" logic comes to it's rescue again.

What isn't beautiful?

How about blowing up kids? I'd definitely put that in the ugly column.

How about honor killing? Can't find any beauty there personally...

What about tribal council sanctioned gang rapes? The beauty alludes me there also...

I think if we all tried to make everything around us beautiful a little more perhaps we'd have somewhere nicer to live instead of immigrating to France and tearing down their beauty out of misplaced jealousy and resentment.

Am among Alhamedi's keen silent readers... then I decided to read some of the comments... then I read your posts. (personally loved that discussion with Angie and bordergal) (very long pause thinking of a word that would best describe how much your remarks have awed and inspired me) ^_^ I really admire your stance especially on Islam conundrums... how it has, I believe, been corrupted and lostly translated through time.

As I started reading your blog, your "Here's A Concept" entries just did it... I had to add you up on my Must-Read list!

As a child of overseas Filipino workers, being born and raised in Riyadh my entire life up until two years ago when I had to leave for college, I had to do something to fill that part in me that longs for the place I grew up to know as home. ^_^

I thank you for sparing some of your time on cyberspace to share your viewpoints as I know someday it will help shed light to the sullied race of humanity... and make countries such as Saudi Arabia a better place to live in. Again, my deepest thanks. More power!

Naif Moi,

Thanks for the kind words. We're a small group. Not many people are willing to label hate for what it is.

Thanks again.
